Wise (and LMS) have a new web site
August 26, 2008 – 10:17 pm by Stefano MAESTRIAfter a long time we decide to update Wise and LMS web site (www.javalinuxlabs.org)
For some time we had on this site (in page specific for wise) this paragraph:
All informations you can find about wise in this web site are legacy.
This site refer only to wise as web application to call web service, but wise is changing a lot in these days, becoming a general library o implement a generic, zero-code webservice invocation
Also this site will change a lot in few days.
We are working with a new and enthusiast team to evolve wise: have a look to this two post of my blog to understand where are we going and of course STAY TUNED.

Well now it’s time to update that site!
It isn’t either finished or perfect, it will be updated a lot in next weeks with a lot of addition as docs, samples, and hopefully a binary realease of wise-core.
Stay tuned
BTW we realize the website with drupal. Nice toy!

Hi,
I could find a forum for problems, so I post my question here. I hope that is okay.
I am trying to use the gui tool and my wsdl has definitions for attachments (base64Binary), and the tool is throwing an exception. Is there a workaround for this?
Thanks,

Hi,
1) Yep, here is fine since we haven’t yet forums. We are working on these aspect.
2) Yep it a known limitation of current implementation of webgui. There isn’t a simple work around, I just take a look to the code and I can provide you a patch to avoid exsception but not providing you the attachment content (maybe just the size). Let me know if it could be interesting for you. Of course next release of webgui based on wise-core will support holders (and so base64 attachment). I can’t say when we will have this release, we are working hard on this, but we have some work to do.

Hi Stefano,
Thanks for the quick reply. Yeah, a patch with the attachment size only should be fine. Could you please either post it somewhere or email it to me?
Thanks,

Hi,
Ok, I’ll do it and I’ll post it here. You have to wait few days, because I’m supposed to be on vacation until the end of this week, but I’ll do that asap.
If you want to write me an email to get in touch with me directly, feel free to use email address published here it’s the correct one (it just have an aggressive anti spam policy: please retry if you don’t get any answer in few days)

Hi Ifoggy,
I worked a little on this issue, but unlucky the patch is impossible on last legacy version of wise because its underlying libs and its use make the support of MTOM impossible on legacy 1.0.1 version. Terrible sorry for that, but you have to wait the first release on wise-webgui which should be ready in some weeks.
Thanks for the interest
